Adapted from John Osborne's groundbreaking play, Look Back in Anger is widely regarded as the defining work of the British "kitchen sink" movement, bringing a new social realism to postwar cinema. Burton's searing portrayal of Jimmy Porter, opposite Bloom and Ure, electrified audiences and cemented the film's status as a landmark of British New Wave cinema.
