Blow-Up received Academy Award Nominations for Best Director and Original Screenplay. Shot on location in swinging London, Evans's photographs capture Antonioni's enigmatic meditation on perception and reality, a film that became a landmark of 1960s cinema and a defining visual document of the era's style and counterculture. Commissioned during Antonioni's only American film, Davidson's stills for Zabriskie Point capture the countercultural mood and desert landscapes that made the project a defining artifact of its era.
