Max Baer, "If This Don't, Nothing Will", Training Camp for Joe Louis Bout, Speculator, New York, September 1935, 8" x 6" ACME Newspictures Original Press Photograph. PSA/DNA Type 1. Vintage gelatin silver glossy 8" x 6" press photograph of Max Baer, "If This Don't, Nothing Will", at training camp for Joe Louis bout, Speculator, New York, September 1935, with ACME Newspictures wet stamp and paper caption, and N.E.A. Reference Department stamp dated SEP 12 1935 on the verso. Baer was heavyweight champion from June 14, 1934, to June 13, 1935, becoming a hero in the American press when he defeated German former world champion Max Schmeling at Yankee Stadium on June 8, 1933. Joe Louis knocked Baer down twice in the third round of their September 24, 1935 heavyweight bout, and won by TKO in round 4. From the Collection of Anthony Bruno.
