Marlon Brando Candid Shots, 1960s and 1970s by Irv Steinberg. Fascinating lot of photos and proof sheets of the brilliantly enigmatic Marlon Brando, taken by celebrity photographer Irv Steinberg. Included are four 3" x 5" b&w shots of Brando at the opening of Mutiny on the Bounty (1962); b&w proof sheets of Brando and many others (Lynn Redgrave, Robert Shaw, Angela Lansbury, etc.) at the 1967 New York Film Critic Awards; and an intriguing group of & w proofs showing Brando at a 1974 press conference at New York's Waldorf Astoria for the American Indian Development Association, along with Native Americans in headdress and such celebrities as Bette Midler ad Dick Cavett. (This was less than a year after Brando had refused his Oscar for The Godfather to gain attention for Native American rights.) Negatives are included for the Critics Award and Native American press conference shots. Very Good to Excellent condition.
