Vintage gelatin silver borderless semi-gloss double-weight 11" x 9.5" photograph of Marilyn Monroe [Norma Jeane Dougherty] on Malibu Beach, Los Angeles, 1946, by André de Dienes, with red and black rubber stamps PHOTO ANDRE DIENES on verso, 1946, printed no later than 1955. Notations by Dienes "Marilyn Monroe interprets:" and "MEDITATION" and "LET NEITHER FEAR OR DOUBT OVERSHADOW YOUR CLEAR SENSE AND CALM TRUST" in blue ink on verso. Only one set of prints was hand-notated by Dienes, printed by the photographer in his darkroom.
