More Information: This exceptional archive offers a highly unusual and richly layered visual history of the James Bond phenomenon, spanning both the official Eon series and adjacent pop-cultural orbit. What makes it especially rare is its integration of behind-the-scenes material, premiere appearances, and formative roles of key Bond actors, as well as high-artistic production prints—many in large-format double-weight photographic paper, intended for press, editorial, or archival use. Among the most compelling elements are two candid images of Ian Fleming on the set of From Russia with Love—a seldom-seen figure in Bond visual archives—paired with portraits of Gert Frobe, Goldfinger's titular villain. These anomalies speak to the franchise's myth-building across multiple films and the iconography of its villains. Also notable is the representation of female stars across eras, including Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi from Thunderball, and Karin Dor from You Only Live Twice. A red-carpet portrait of Paluzzi and promotional stills by P.I.C. Photos and Cornel Lucas extend the archive beyond the diegesis of the films into the realm of global premieres and Bond girl image-making.

The inclusion of Roger Moore's early career material—from The Sins of Rachel Cade to his television stardom in The Saint and The Persuaders—adds a pre-Bond dimension that contextualizes his evolution into the suave 007. Rare portraits and 35mm color transparencies of Moore, enhance the value of the set as a record of Bond's shifting masculine ideal from Connery to Moore. Images of Britt Ekland and David James's photograph of Moore from The Spy Who Loved Me reflect the glamour and spectacle of 1970s Bond, while adjacent stills from Escape to Athena and The Avengers, including one of Patrick Macnee with Twiggy by Terry O'Neill, broaden the scope to include Bond's stylistic cousins in British spy fiction.
