Description

Frankenstein (Universal, 1931) Boris Karloff "The Monster" and Colin Clive "Henry Frankenstein" 8" x 10" Studio Release Original Photograph by Roman Freulich. PSA/DNA Type II. Vintage gelatin silver glossy 8" x 10" studio release photograph of the climactic final encounter of Boris Karloff as "The Monster" and Colin Clive as "Henry Frankenstein" in Frankenstein. Key set number 310-1-94 in India ink on the negative. This climactic struggle, staged on Universal's rugged mountain set, leads directly to the windmill finale and remains one of the most dramatic encounters in early horror cinema, showcasing Karloff's pathos in Jack Pierce's unforgetable makeup and James Whale's flair for gothic spectacle. Printed by the studio from the camera negative.
