    Description

Clark Gable Childhood Photos. Seven original photographs from the early 1900s relating to Clark Gable and his family. Gable appears in three of the photos -- as a young boy with a woman identified on the reverse as "probably an aunt", as a teenager with an adult acquaintance named "Earl", and as a young man (hair parted in the middle, and remarkable ears!) with his father. Also included are a portrait of Gable's mother, a portrait of his stepmother, and two snapshots of the house where Gable was born in Cadiz, Ohio. Size ranges from 3.5" x 4.5" to 4.5" x 6.5"; one of the house shots has "House where Clark was born" written in ink on the front. Some of these nearly century-old photos have some cracks and creases, but are in basically Fine to Good condition. Exceptionally rare and desirable artifacts from the early life of Clark Gable.
