Description

Boris Karloff Tower of London and Black Friday Archive. "I've never killed in hot blood before!" exulted Karloff as Mord, the executioner with bald pate, club foot, and giant axe in Universal's Tower of London (1939). Then in his next film for Universal, Black Friday (1940), the chameleon-like Karloff was Dr. Sovac, a clotheshorse mad doctor, performing a mayhem-wreaking brain transplant. The Tower of London file features two 8" x 10" portraits of Boris as the bloodthirsty Mord, plus three candids; also an 8" x 10" portrait negative and four small negatives. The Black Friday folder contains an 8" x 10" Karloff portrait as the sinister Sovac, a shot of his test makeup, a b&w reproduction of the title card (with co-star Bela Lugosi), a candid of Karloff on the set playing "cat's cradle" with singer Gloria Jean; and one negative. From the Boris Karloff Estate Collection. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Sara Karloff Sparkman.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
