Vintage gelatin silver glossy 8" x 10" International News press photograph of Babe Ruth rounding the bases, greeted by Lou Gehrig holding his bats at home plate, against Pittsburgh Pirates, 1927 World Series, with INTERNAITONAL NEWSREEL wet stamp and paper caption remnant on the verso. This was the team considered by many to be the greatest ever, going 107-43 and sweeping the Pirates 4-0 in the series. Ruth hit 60 homers that year, though Gehrig hit 47 and batted .373 and won MVP because Ruth was ineligible, having won in 1923. From the Collection of Anthony Bruno.
