An Extensive and Rare Collection of Black and White Stills All with Press Snipes from "Gone With The Wind." Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1939. Approximately 110, mostly all original prints with a glossy finish (though there could be some later reprints in the group), all have text on the verso -- either a typed press snipe glued to the back or purple-ink typed text directly printed on the back, depicting a wide range of images related to the film including headshots of main cast members, scenes from the film, posed publicity shots, candid behind-the-scenes shots, and 'visitors to the set' shots (like members of DAR, etc.) -- many of which have not been seen since 1939; the snipes in particular offer fascinating details about the actors, the costumes, the sets, and the overall production -- information that may not be known any other way! (Please note the photographs range in condition from excellent to mediocre; also note our catalogue illustration does not do justice to this lot!)
