    Description

    A Marilyn Monroe Group of Rare Black and White Candid Photographs by Sam Shaw, 1954. Three total, all original prints with a glossy finish, all shot on September 9, 1954 when Monroe arrived in NYC to film "The Seven Year Itch;" the first depicts MM blowing a kiss, verso reads in part "Credit / S. Shaw / Sep 10 1954;" the second depicts MM sitting in a chair, verso same as previous lot; the third depicts MM among a group of men in work uniforms, verso same as other two; Sam Shaw was a close friend of Monroe's who took countless photographs of her, including these three. (Please note the photographs are somewhat wrinkled around the edges and there is slight paper loss in the upper right hand corner of one.)
