Description

A Marilyn Monroe Group of Mostly Never-Before-Seen Black and White Photographs from Korea, 1954. Twenty-three total, all vintage prints with a glossy finish, all shot by professional Army photographers as the versos of most have detailed text noting dates, places, and circumstances of MM's stops; the first three show MM coming to town (one with her, Joe DiMaggio, baseball great Lefty O'Doul, and his wife, Jean O'Doul, still in San Francisco); the next eight showing MM wearing pants and a bomber jacket as she's surrounded by soldiers; the next seven showing MM on stage; and the last five showing MM visiting soldiers in the hospital or in the chow line; most are quite rare and probably unseen since 1954, if at all.
    5" x 7"

    PROVENANCE:
From the personal files of Jean O'Doul as consigned by her widower.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
