A Marilyn Monroe and Truman Capote Rare Black and White Photograph, Circa 1955. An original print with a matte finish, depicting the star as she's kicking up one leg (so her black high heel can be seen) standing next to the writer as a second man's back is facing the camera; unfortunately, it's a somewhat blurry and shadowed shot but it's quite rare as there are only a couple of other known photographs of Monroe with Capote -- the author who wrote a famous reminiscence about her titled "A Beautiful Child" which ended up as a chapter in his celebrated work "Music for Chameleons;'" verso has some yellow paste residue on the top margin and a red ink handwritten annotation reading "Marilyn Monroe / Truman Capote;" photo was taken by Jess Rand [a longtime Hollywood press agent and personal manager from the late 1940s to the 1990s] who was also an amateur photographer and who ran in the same extended Los Angeles-New York circles as MM with friends in common such as Milton Greene and Sammy Davis, Jr.; from The Estate of Jess Rand. (Please note there were slight scratches on the negative when this print was made, and the photo exhibits creasing at the top corners.)
