A James Cagney Group of Miscellaneous Personal and Professional Photographs and Snapshots, 1940s-1970s. Approximately 20, color or black and white, a random assortment of small stills from films, small publicity shots, and family snapshots; one color image of the actor (wearing a yellow rain slicker) is in a mat board signed by him in blue ballpoint ink on the top margin "Dear Paul / This the man you mean? / Pleasant looking, isn't he? / Best / Jim;" another small black and white headshot of him circa 1975 is signed in black felt-tip ink in the upper left corner "For John Aquino / Jim Cagney;" also included are two postcards related to the actor's home on Martha's Vineyard -- overall a random assortment that Cagney gave to his longtime secretary, Nora Helm, over the decades to file away.
