A Frank Sinatra Group of Mostly Never-Before-Seen Black and White Snapshots, Circa 1944. Approximately 70, mostly all original prints with a glossy finish (though some are reprints), in a few different sizes, mostly depicting the singer in candid shots in Los Angeles (though others are of him elsewhere or are staged images); many were actually taken by a then-young girl who was part of a devoted fan club called "Artanis" ["Sinatra" spelled backwards] -- a small group of Los Angeles-based Bobby Soxers who followed the singer around town when he was in Hollywood so often that Sinatra knew them all on a first name basis; some have the young girl's annotations penned on the verso, explaining where Sinatra was in the shot -- overall, a great collection of rare images either never seen or not seen in over 70 years -- and consigned directly by that "young girl" who is now in her 80s! (She also consigned the Sinatra scrapbook in the next lot.)
