    A Dick Powell Massive Collection of Personally-Owned Photo Albums from 20 of His Films, 1930s-1950s. Twenty albums total, over 800 stills (!!!), all housed in individual black leather binders that the actor had custom-made, all embossed on the spine and cover with the film's title and further in the lower right corner of the front cover "Dick Powell," each filled with different amounts of original print black and white stills with a glossy finish (see approximate counts below), each depicting various scenes and actors from the films including the titles (in alphabetical order): Broadway Gondolier (WB, 1935) -- 10 stills, Christmas in July (Par, 1940) -- 25 stills, Colleen (WB, 1936) -- 50 stills, To The End of the Earth (Col, 1948) -- 80 stills, Going Places (WB, 1938) -- 80 stills, Happiness Ahead (WB, 1934) -- 60 stills, Happy Go Lucky (Par, 1943) -- 45 stills, I Want a Divorce (Par, 1940) -- 14 stills, The King's Vacation (WB, 1943) -- 18 stills, A Midsummer Night's Dream (WB, 1935) -- 55 stills, Model Wife (Uni, 1941) -- 35 stills, Naughty But Nice (WB, 1939) -- 50 stills, On the Avenue (Fox, 1937) -- 35 stills, Page Miss Glory (WB, 1935) -- 55 stills, Riding High (Par, 1943) -- 20 stills, Shipmates Forever (WB, 1935) -- 70 stills, The Tall Target (MGM, 1951) -- 20 stills, Twenty Million Sweethearts (WB, 1934) -- 65 stills, Varsity Show (WB, 1937) -- 45 stills, and Wonder Bar (WB, 1934) -- 30 stills; actors (besides Powell) seen in these stills include (in alphabetical order): Louis Armstrong, Mary Astor, Joan Blondell, Eric Blore, Madeleine Carroll, Marion Davies, Olivia De Havilland, Delores Del Rio, Alice Faye, Louise Fazenda, Kay Francis, Signe Hasso, Hugh Herbert, Betty Hutton, Al Jolson, Ruby Keeler, Guy Kibbe, Dorothy Lamour, Anita Louise, Adolph Menjou, Conrad Nagel, Jack Oakie, Mabel Paige, Ginger Rogers, Ann Sheridan, and Rudy Vallee, among many others; most of these images have not been seen in decades, if at all; from the Estate of Dick Powell; included with a Certificate of Provenance signed by their son.
