Description
Pair of Anthony Daniels "C-3PO" hands used in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi donated in display case by George Lucas for his daughter's school charity. (TCF, 1983) Signature gold hands belonging to protocol droid "C-3PO" - a principal robot character in the Star Wars universe. Constructed of polyurethane with metalized gold finish and machined metal "greeblies" affixed on the back of the hands, metal cuffs around each digit and snap closure beneath each wrist. These C-3PO hands were donated by George Lucas in the spring of 1985-86 to the charity auction of Mount Tamalpais School in Mill Valley, California, where his daughter was attending. Lucas presented them tastefully mounted in the included display case with black Lucite base created at Industrial Light & Magic. In fine condition. Comes with a signed LOA from the consignor who bought the hands at the charity event in the mid-80s. A fantastic artifact from the original, beloved Star Wars trilogy with impeccable provenance.Auction Info
