Who's That Girl (Warner Bros., 1987), Madonna "Nikki Finn" Pair of Costume Sketches by Deborah L. Scott. Original costume sketch accomplished in graphite by costume designer Deborah L. Scott. Rendered on 14" x 17" artist's paper, the sketch features Nikki Finn (Madonna) in a reclining pose wearing her famous off-the-shoulder dress. A 6.75" x 4.5" pearl white synthetic satin fabric swatch is stapled to the left of the sketch. Signed by the costume designer, "C.D. D.L. Scott" at the bottom center and mounted on 17" x 17.25" black heavy stock paper. Sketch exhibits tape and adhesive remnants from production (not affecting image); fabric swatch has adhesive remnants; backing has irregular top edge with adhesive remnants on front. Accompanied with a second costume sketch of the same dress by Deborah L. Scott, rendered in graphite on 9" x 12" paper, yet showing the circular rhinestone earrings Madonna wore with the ensemble. This second costume sketch is laminated. Signed by the costume designer, "C.D. D.L. Scott" on verso. From the personal collection of Academy Award-winning costume designer Deborah L. Scott.
