UFOria Storyboard Original Art Sequence of 12 (Universal Pictures, c. 1981). From the surprising final moments of the 1985 science fiction comedy UFOria, here are 12 sheets of hand-drawn original storyboards by the celebrated storyboard artist Nikita Knatz. This film was completed in 1981 but did not see a theatrical release until 1985. Despite low numbers at the box office and lack of visibility, the film generally received positive reviews, and Roger Ebert even gave the film a 4-star review, calling it a "great and goofy comedy... it is willing to go for originality in a world that prizes the entertainment assembly line." These spectacular storyboards are rendered in mixed media on 11" x 8.5" sheets of vellum tracing paper. There are one to four drawings per sheet, and the drawings are accompanied by camera and production notes. The sheets show minor handling and edge wear with pinholes in the corners and punch holes along the top edges. Some corners show folding, and the condition overall is Very Good.
