Thor: The Dark World Storyboards Original Art Group of 24 Signed by Trevor Goring (Marvel Studios, c. 2013). From the moving and tragic funeral scene in which Thor's mother Frigga is given a traditional Norse ceremony, seen at the 49:40 mark of Thor: The Dark World, these dramatic original storyboards by the hand of artist Trevor Goring are stunning examples of strong, slow, mood-focused narrative. An amazing collection of 24 hand-drawn images pasted to 8 sheets for display in the storyboarding process, these beautiful drawings rendered in blue and red pencil illustrate the importance of quiet aspect shots in depicting the feeling of a scene more than the action of a scene. Trevor Goring's lengthy resume includes storyboard work for Thor: The Dark World, Watchmen, The Cell, Entrapment, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, among many others, and his adept visual storytelling is on full display here. The drawings measure 5.5" x 2.25" each, and the 32lb sheets on which they are displayed are 8.5" x 11". The pages are signed by the artist, and the signatures are dated 2020.
