The Wolverine Storyboards Original Art Group of 12 (Marvel Studios, c. 2013). Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) fights his way through a horde of ninjas in this spectacular set of 12 original storyboard drawings. These high-action images featuring everyone's favorite member of the X-Men were created by the renowned David Russell who calls the process of storyboarding "directing on paper." Essential to the cinematographic decisions made during the production of a film, storyboards help lay out the actions and camera work of a scene. Russell shows his prowess here in this kinetic sequence, depicting high levels of action while maintaining narrative clarity. These 12 drawings on 4 sheets of bond paper are rendered in graphite with each drawing measuring 5.75" x 2.5". The sheets measure 8.25" x 11.75" each. The drawings are accompanied by camera and production notes, and they show minor handling and edge wear. The condition overall is Very Good. From the David Russell Collection.
