The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Group of (10) "Chariots Pursue the Israelites" Storyboard Artworks. Vintage group of (10) storyboard artworks (artist unknown) rendered in charcoal on artist vellum and presented in a white matte measuring from 16.25" x 12" to 17" x 12.5". Each sketch is numbered to coincide with a specific shot in the script; F-49, F-52, F-59, 22 b, 39b, 41 a, 45, 49, 28, and 39 b-a illustrate some of the most iconic scenes in cinema history. After their Exodus from Egypt, the Hebrews are pursued by Rameses' (Yul Brynner) chariots. The chase culminates at the Red Sea, when Moses (Charlton Heston) parts the water for the Israelite's safe passage. Once they've made it to dry land, and the sea is reformed, the chariots are consumed by the waves of the returning waters. Sketches exhibit production and exhibition wear.
