The Hard Way Storyboard Original Art Sequence of 56 (Universal Pictures, c. 1991). "It's not like the movies. They get 17 takes to get it right. We get one take. It lasts our whole lives. We mess it up and we're dead." Nick Lang (played by Michael J. Fox) is an actor cast as a police officer, and to better fit the role he decides to shadow hardened New York cop John Moss (played by James Woods). This is an amazing sequence of original storyboard drawings for The Hard Way, created by the great production designer Nikita Knatz (1940-2010). Rendered in mixed media with cut-and-paste elements, they are on a whopping 56 sheets containing one to three drawings each. They depict the fast-paced car chase from the opening scene of the film, and most of the drawings are on tracing vellum cut and mounted to 11" x 8.5" bond paper. They come with production and camera notes, and are bound in a three-ring binder. They show minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.
