The Dark Tower Storyboards Original Art Group of 78 Signed by Trevor Goring (Universal Studios, c. 2017). From an unused scene in which Jake Chambers and gunslinger Roland Deschain encounter a thinny, an alluring but dangerous place where reality has been worn away, this rare and incredible sequence of original storyboard drawings is an exciting window into what might have been. 2017's The Dark Tower is based on the 8-novel science fiction/fantasy Western series by Stephen King, and was a highly anticipated adaptation in which production began 10 years prior to its eventual release. This fast-paced and fantastical set of 48 drawings on 16 32lb sheets of paper exhibits storyboard artist Trevor Goring's knack for tight visual storytelling in sequences of high action. Rendered in black and blue pencil with dialogue and camera movement notes, these stunning and imaginative images tell a clear story on their own, and they feel like a deleted scene bonus feature one might find on the home DVD. Goring's extensive resume includes not only storyboard work for films such as Thor: The Dark World and The Cell, but he is also a prominent comic artist, concept and character designer and production illustrator. The first sheet of this collection is signed by the artist, and the signature is dated 2020. Numbered 1A-35, these amazing pieces by the prolific artist measure approximately 5" x 2", and there are three per 8.5" x 11" sheet. The paper shows minor handling wear, and the condition overall is Very Good. COA from Heritage Auctions.
