DescriptionThe Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe Storyboards Original Art Group of 17 Signed by Trevor Goring (Walt Disney, c. 2005). Edmund wanders the halls of the White Witch's cavernous and labyrinthine ice palace in these absolutely stunning original storyboards from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Edmund is frequently drawn small, making the large world around him feel intimidating, isolating, and cold. This collection of shots establishes a sense of setting, mood, and wonder more than it functions as a structured moment-to-moment narrative. Because of this, each of these gorgeous drawings could stand alone as their own piece! This sequence showcases the versatility and importance of storyboarding in filmmaking, and how storyboards can have a significant impact on a film's pace, mood, dramatization and shot-composition. Artist Trevor Goring, author of Storyboards: The Unseen Art of Hollywood, exhibits his skill in directing on paper in these drawings, and the first three of the 17 sheets are signed by Goring himself. The signatures are dated 2020. The drawings are rendered in blue pencil, and they are large, measuring approximately 10" x 4.25" each on 12" x 9" vellum tracing paper. They show minor handling and edge wear, and the condition overall is Very Good. COA from Heritage Auctions.
