    Description

    Superman 1948 Serial Screen-Used Animation Cel. An extremely rare animation cel used to make Superman fly in his screen debut in the 1948 Columbia serial starring Kirk Alyn, the first actor to portray the Man of Steel. Due to the shortcomings of movie special effects at the time, animation similar to that in Max Fleischer's Superman cartoon shorts was used to depict Superman in flight in the live-action serial. In Very Fine condition, accompanied by an 11" x 14" replica lobby card background.
