Star Trek: The Next Generation (Paramount, 1987-1994), Andrew Probert Original Concept Sketches for Romulan and Bynar Alien Designs. Original group of (4) concept sketches by Andrew Probert for Star Trek: The Next Generation, with (3) 8.5" x 11" sketches depicting Romulan Bird of Prey ships from Season 1, Episode 26, "The Neutral Zone", and (1) 12" x 9" depicting a Bynar alien with handwritten notations reading, "Bynars - Always travel in pairs" and "Brains develop toward the common good... Center", alluding to character traits that influenced Probert's design of the species. Sketches are accomplished in black ink and graphite over computer-generated elements and are signed and dated by Probert from 1987 and 1988. These dates indicate Probert's early involvement in redesigning and updating the Star Trek universe for the new series, particularly as the technology and various races were expanded. Artworks exhibit signs of handling and age, including some foxing and edgewear and stray marks from the artist. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
