Description
Red Dawn (United Artists, 1984), Original Final Poster Artwork by John Alvin. Original full-color acrylic artwork used for the final release 1-sheet poster of the film. The large, hand painted and airbrushed painting features Soviet paratroopers raining down upon the sleepy town of Calumet, Colorado, beneath a hazy sky. The 33" x 44" artwork is accomplished in mixed media on illustration board, mounted on ¼" foam core, with a blackout paper cover to protect the surface. Exhibits minor edge and corner bumping with a .5" crease down left side of painting. The poster image is for reference only and is not included with this lot.
