    Orson Welles Painting For It Happened One Christmas TV Movie Role Along with Reference Photos (16) (1977). An acrylic on canvas painting of the radio, TV, and film legend, done by Jaroslav Gebr. Depicts Welles' role in the TV movie It Happened One Christmas, in which he played the villainous Henry F. Potter. Per the consignor, the son of the artist, the painting was made for the film and used in filming, but did not make the final cut. The painting measures 24" x 30" and is framed to an overall 31" x 36.5". Painting is in Very Good Plus condition with chipping. The frame is in Very Good Minus condition with chipping and soiling. Comes with 16 reference photos of various sizes and conditions, including a clipped and folded magazine ad featuring Welles. COAs from Thomas Gebr and Heritage Auctions.
