Original Concept Artwork for Spaceship Near Star from The Man from the 25th Century (Irwin Allen Productions TV, 1968, Pilot Short) by Ron Croci. Vintage original concept "pitch" artwork by Ron Croci featuring an artist's rendering of a "Jupiter 2" inspired spaceship flying near a blazing star from this Irwin Allen space-themed 17 min. TV pilot short planned to star James Darren. In acrylic, tempera, and airbrush measuring 20.5" x 16" image size on 4-ply artist illustration board measuring 24" x 19.25", housed in an archival mat hinged with clear mylar overlay. Actual artwork reproduced on pp. 332-343 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Fine, with light scuffs to artwork and paper loss on the borders from mount removal. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.Auction Info
