Nolan Miller Watercolor Sketch of Suite for Diahann Carroll for Dynasty. Ca. 1985; Watercolor, gouache, pencil and marker on illustration board.Diahann Carroll is shown here in a tailored white suite. According to Nolan, there was much interest amongst the actresses of Dynasty to wear white; however, one seldom sees Diahann in this color. More common for Nolan's designs for Diahann are the classical lines of this tailored suite. Nolan Miller's bold black signature is found at lower right and the piece is labeled on the border "Diahann Carroll - Dynasty."
This sketch is in Fine condition, with minor age toning at the edges and bumped corners. The back is inscribed "Diahann Carroll Dynasty," and stamped "Costume Designers Guild 56." From the Nolan Miller Collection.
