Maurice Binder Original Storyboard Title Sequence Artwork for On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Eon Productions, 1969). Starting with Dr. No, title designer Maurice Binder set the tone for the opening sequences of James Bond films to follow with his signature "Bond-through-the-gun-barrel" and use of undulating female silhouettes and imagery. This lot consists of (2) illustration boards (measuring 22.5" x 15"), each featuring (4) panels measuring approximately 8" x 3.5" comprised of paste-up artwork with stenciled letters, clear graphic overlays with clock face, hand-cut colored gels and photos depicting George Lazenby as Bond, Ursula Andress and Joseph Wiseman (Honey Ryder and Dr. No), and other female imagery. Boards exhibit age, toning, edge wear and handling from production with tape residue, staining and glue remnants. Production material from the early James Bond films is exceedingly rare.
