Landscape with Mosque (1880) by Frederick Goodall, R.A. (British, 1822-1904). A 9.5" x 11" oil painting on artist's board, signed with monogram and dated at lower left. The general condition of this painting is in good, with surface accretions particularly in the sky, one area of flaking loss in lower center below the corner of the mosque, and one .75" chip in the center of the right edge where a framing nail seems to have cut into the board at some point. The painting is in its original gilt frame. The reverse of the artist's board retains a handwritten label with artist's name and title "The tombs of the ancient Egyptian Chiefs." Framed to an overall size of 11.25" x 15". This lot will be accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susie Morton as the widow of Gary Morton, Ms. Ball's second husband. The lot is not offered by the estate of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. This lot requires 3rd party shipping.
