In Country Storyboard Group of 19 (Warner Brothers, c. 1989). "When I get back to the world, this will be a dream. But now, the world is a dream." The 1989 Norman Jewison-directed film In Country tells the story of a young girl who chooses to live with her uncle, a veteran of the Vietnam War, in order to learn more about her father who died during the conflict. This beautiful sequence of 19 storyboards mounted on four sheets of 8" x 11" bond paper was created by frequent collaborator of Norman Jewison, Nikita Knatz. Depicting a flashback sequence, this sequence of images tells the story of American soldiers as they struggle to survive the Vietnamese jungle. The 2.75" x 1.5" images are copied, cut and pasted onto the sheets, and each sheet contains original production and camera notes. They show light handling and edge wear and are preserved in protective sleeves. The condition overall is Very Good.
