Hellboy (Columbia, 2004), Wayne Barlowe - Sammael Concept Study Original Art. Wayne Barlowe's concept sketch summons Sammael, the Hound of Resurrection-sinew twists, rot festers, a nightmare given form within Hellboy's macabre mythology, its horror etched in every grotesque, inescapable line. Barlowe's concept design for Sammael closely resembles the demon as seen during his subway showdown with Hellboy (Ron Perlman), who must battle the creature, defend innocent bystanders, and rescue a cat. Graphite on paper with an image area of 9.25" x 11.25". Signed and dated by Barlowe below the image area. Exhibits light handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
