Hellboy (Columbia, 2004), Mike Mignola - "Tomb and Hell Wall" Concept Sketch Original Art. Concept sketch of the Tomb and Hell Wall by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. An ominous blend of occult symbolism and gothic atmosphere, shaping the film's chilling 1944 flashback. Taking his cue from Mignola's detailed sketch, del Toro faithfully incorporated the design into the scene where Professor Trevor Bruttenholm (Kevin Trainor) discovers the toddler demon he lures with Baby Ruth bars and would later adopt as his son. Drafted in ink over graphite on paper with an image area of 7.25" x 9". Signed and dated by Mignola in the image area. Exhibits light handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the personal collection of Guillermo del Toro.
