Description

Game of Thrones Jon Snow and Ygritte Storyboards by William Simpson Group of 6 (HBO, 2011). Jon Snow chases the wildling, Ygritte through the icy wastelands north of the wall in this storyboard sequence from HBO's hit series Game of Thrones. Presented here is original storyboard art for season 2, episode 206, scene 6.26B by William Simpson. He is the storyboard and concept artist credited with developing much of the look and feel of this filmed adaptation of George R. R. Martin's fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire. This scene is comprised of 21 hand-drawn panels measuring approximately 5.25" x 3" across six 11.75" x 16.5" pages. Each panel is rendered in graphite along the left side of the page with dialogue and direction to the right. All pages are signed and initialed by the artist in the lower right corner. Notes by the artist about the scene and its filming are on the back of the first page. The fiery character Ygritte becomes Jon's first love, and on an interesting note, the actors portraying these characters (Kit Harington and Rose Leslie) first met filming this scene and eventually married. The art shows handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good. COA from Heritage Auctions.
