Game of Thrones Daenerys, Jorah, Melisandre, Drogon and Grey Worm Storyboards by William Simpson Group of 4 (HBO, 2011). The world of Westeros owes much of its look and feel to storyboard and concept artist William Simpson. His work was integral to the early development in HBO's televised adaptation George R. R. Martin's fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire. Offered in this lot is the four-page storyboard for season 3, episode 304, scene 4.22 drawn by artist William Simpson. There are a total of 13 hand-drawn panels measuring 5.25" x 3" across four 11.75" x 16.5" pages. Each panel is rendered in graphite along the left side of the page with dialogue and direction to the right. The scene depicts Daenerys, Jorah, Melisandre and Grey Worm shortly after Daenerys orders her dragon (Drogon) to immolate her enemies. It is the very scene where Grey Worm reveals his slave name and declares his allegiance to the Mother of Dragons. Each page bears the artist's signature and seal in the lower right corner. Handwritten notes by the William Simpson on back of the first sheet recount his time spent watching this scene as it was filmed. This is an incredible collection of original storyboards from a truly memorable scene. The art shows handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good. COA from Heritage Auctions.
