Fright Night (Columbia, 1985), Poster Concept Art. Original poster concept art for the cult classic supernatural horror film Fright Night, accomplished with pastel and pencil on 25" x 28" illustration paper. This unused comp art uses forced perspective to depict the front door of a house opening with the clawed, creepy hand of vampire Jerry Danridge (Chris Sarandon) peeking out. The gothic skull door knocker combines with an '80s techno-horror aesthetic created by bisecting linework to create a distinct tone to the artwork. Illustration paper is mounted to 26" x 30" artist's board by a strip of tape on the top with illustrator's handwritten label "FRIGHT NITE". Exhibits signs of handling and age, including some pastel smudges to top quadrant and some edgewear to the underlying board. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
