Dune (Universal, 1984), Storyboard Illustrations. Original group of (7) hand-drawn storyboard illustrations accomplished in graphite on artist leaf paper, each measuring 8.5" x 11". Drawn by renowned movie illustrator Mentor Heubner, known for his work on genre defining science fiction classics such as Forbidden Planet (1956) and Blade Runner (1982), each illustration contains handwritten annotations, camera movements, and scene descriptions along the borders. Represented among the lots are memorable sequences such as the Guild Navigators spacefolding travel, Duke Atreides' (Jürgen Prochnow) daring Ornithopter rescue, and the nomadic Fremens journey across the vast deserts of Arrakis with the aid of their thumpers. Items exhibit general age and handling wear with the Fremmen storyboard having a 1.5" tear on the upper right-hand corner. The poster image is for reference only and is not included with this lot.
