Batman Returns Storyboard and Concept Original Art with Production Copies and Batmobile Production Photos Group of 127 (Warner Brothers, c. 1992). This is a spectacular and HUGE collection of artifacts from the production of 1992's Tim Burton-directed Batman Returns. There are over 90 sheets of original storyboard drawings here, all rendered using mixed media and cut-and-paste techniques on 11" x 8.5" bond paper or tracing vellum. In addition, this collection also contains original concept drawings, including a sketch of Catwoman's mask, rendered in graphite and ink on vellum paper. There is also a set of three production photos contained on one sheet of the iconic Batmobile from the film. Among this collection are several photocopies of concept art, storyboards and camera notes created for production. This incredible treasure trove of art is from the collection Nikita Knatz (1940-1970), prominent production and storyboard artist for this film and over 100 other titles. The storyboards contain one to six drawings per sheet with camera and production notes. All pieces show varying degrees of handling, folding, tearing and edge wear, with some having been extensively cut. There are red and black marks through some of the sheets. The average size of all pieces is approximately 11" x 8.5", and overall, the condition of this amazing set is Very Good.
