Along the River by Orry-Kelly (American, 1897-1964). A 7.25" x 5.25" oil painting on masonite, signed at lower left by Oscar-winning costume designer, Orry-Kelly. A former mural painter, Orry-Kelly was never one to limit his skills to costume designs -- a fact Lucy obviously understood and appreciated, as she had multiple Orry-Kelly paintings in her collection.The painting is in Very Good original condition, in its original frame. Framed to an overall size of 12.5" x 10". This lot will be accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susie Morton as the widow of Gary Morton, Ms. Ball's second husband.
