A Walter Matthau Original Drawing by Al Hirschfeld of "Casey's Shadow," 1978. Rendered in pen and ink on board, depicting the cast from the heartfelt film including Matthau, "Casey's Shadow" (the horse), Alexis Smith, child actor Michael Hershewe [who portrayed "Casey"], and two others; signed in the lower right corner "Hirschfeld 5." (Please note there is some slight yellowing around the border where the work was once framed.)

Walter Matthau and Al Hirschfeld were close friends and the artist created many drawings specifically for the actor over the course of many decades.

Included with a "Letter of Provenance" signed by Charlie Matthau, son of Walter Matthau.
