A Pen and Ink Drawing Depicting the Interior of Grauman's Chinese Theatre by Charles H. Owens, 1927. Rendered in highly-detailed pen and ink, this piece depicts the interior of the famed Grauman's Chinese Theatre on its packed opening night. Charles H. Owens, staff artist of the Los Angeles Times, executed this illustration for use in the paper on that date, as well as being included in the opening night dedication program for Cecil B. DeMille's biblical epic, King of Kings. Signed by Owens in pencil on the mount at the lower-right. Mounted to an artboard display. (Please note there is toning and wear to the verso of the mounting, as well as slight yellowing to the piece due to age.)
    Drawing: 20.75" x 12.5"; Display: 24" x 18"
