A Mae West-Related Set of Oil Paintings, 1930s. The first rendered on board, depicting a beautiful image of the star's sister, Beverly, with a light blue drape over her shoulder, signed in the lower right corner "Clembert DeSoto;" the second also rendered on board, depicting the star's mother, Matilda Delker, with a pale pink drape over her shoulder, signed in the lower right by same artist; West commissioned both these portraits where the family resemblance can definitely be seen; included with a color snapshot showing the 'Beverly' one in situ at an apartment in the Ravenswood, though not West's. (The star did put up a number of family/friends/associates there throughout the years.) Included with a signed 'Letter of Provenance' from John West, Mae's nephew.
    Both framed: 21" x 21" and smaller; Works only: 19" x 15"
