A Mae West Famous Oil Painting Titled 'Sex,' 1934. Rendered on board, oval-shaped, in an overall golden hue, depicting the nude star lounging in her boudoir as she stares up at a small monkey [West had pet monkeys throughout her life], text on the lower border reads "Sex / Mae West," signed by the artist in the lower right "F.A. Kinzel / 1934;" housed in an elaborate giltwood frame; included with a color snapshot showing this piece in situ in West's famous Ravenswood apartment on Rossmore Avenue in Los Angeles; interestingly, this work was reproduced often throughout West's lifetime in the form of posters, prints, notecards, etc., but this work offered appears to be the original; included with a signed 'Letter of Provenance' from John West, Mae's nephew.
