Nathan Davis "Reverend Kane" special effects head from Poltergeist 3. (MGM, 1988) Original animatronic head and rig. Consisting of a cast vinyl skin over fiberglass articulating substructure measuring 10 x 7 x 9 in. The head has been expertly studio painted to appear corpulent and sinister with prosthetic grade glass eyes and cast acrylic teeth added. A series of cables lead from the back of the head to an 8x 5 in. tooled aluminum puppeteering rig with grip and a series of finger rings that, when manipulated, cause the head to animate. This prop was made under supervision of makeup legend Dick Smith. Head exhibits wear and some cracking in the moth areas. Mechanicals untested. In good condition.
