Miniature stop-motion Bat from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) This black stop motion bat figure was used in the beloved animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas. The opening sequence features an introduction to the creepy cast of characters including a shot of the villainous "Oogie Boogie" exploding with bats flying from his moon-framed silhouette. This was one of those featured bats. Constructed of aluminum heat-shielding material and carved and painted balsa wood. Measures approx. 4 x 4 ½ in. Shows some signs of production use. Otherwise, in good condition.
