    MGM Publicist William R. Ferguson's career scrapbook. (ca. 1939-1940s) William R. Ferguson was MGM's studio publicist in the 30s and 40s. This is Mr. Ferguson's personal vintage, handmade scrapbook of loose clippings and photos relating to his career. Consisting of a 12 x 18 x 3 in. scrapbook with cardboard cover, the 100+ pages of the book have been filled, by hand, with 100s of clipped newspaper and magazine articles, publicity functions, ads and photos. Included is a vintage set of (10) 11 x 14 in. sepia tone lobby cards of cast from Gone With the Wind. The Gone With the Wind promotional campaign was one of the grandest ever embarked upon and likely one of the proudest assignments of the publicist. All in vintage very good condition.
